When we started Branch in June of last year, we aimed to build a company that solved the biggest challenge we ourselves experienced as app developers: growth.
Before Branch existed, we had struggled with our own app for over a year, finding it frustratingly difficult to facilitate and track sharing, incorporate content discoverability, and personalize new user experiences. To solve these frustrations, we set out to build better tools for app developers with deep linking, giving developers much-needed building blocks with which to build organic growth tools. From making app content discoverable to optimizing and personalizing a new user’s first app experience, to understanding exactly where each new app user came from through built out analytics… there are limitless ways to use and build on these fast-evolving deep linking technologies.
15 months later, we’ve helped thousands of apps, companies, and independent mobile developers not only achieve growth but better understand their growth efforts. Now, to celebrate mobile development and all of our partners in growth, we are launching our first Mobile Growth Innovation Challenge. The Challenge’s grand prize is $10,000 in cash, with three runner-up prizes of $1,000 each. The winner will be chosen by a panel of top Valley VCs and our CEO Alex Austin. They will also receive mentorship, office space in the Branch office in Palo Alto for 3 months and promotion in our blog, social media, e-mails and mobile growth meetups.
We’re excited to give a little back to those that matter most to us: our app developer community. We know firsthand that growing an app is tough, and we’re excited to host this competition and give out prizes that will help apps that are primed for organic growth take their successes to the next level. If you are looking for ideas, start with our case studies and features pages.
Branch will be accepting submissions now through January 15th, 2016. All apps are encouraged to participate, whether they are long time Branch partners, new to Branch, or even new to the Play or App Store. All apps that have integrated Branch and are live in the App Store or Google Play by December 15th, 2015 will be eligible to participate.
Participants must register for the contest by November 15th, 2015 and developers are encouraged to submit more than one app.
