  • What makes you excited to stay at Branch?

There is a lot of talk about Monday blues and how there is a sense of sadness starting Sunday evening in anticipation of the coming work week. I have been at Branch for over 2 years and I have yet to experience that here. I look forward to Mondays and am excited about working on something new and interesting every week. I am constantly challenged as I work with some of the best minds in the industry and this motivates me to do better everyday. Overall I love being part of an incredible team.

  • How are you supported in your career goals at Branch?

Branch has allowed me to grow my skills as well as my responsibilities, and I think this is important so that I am set up for success. I believe that Branch culture is the biggest factor in helping me grow in my career. There is transparency and openness that allows me to gain any skills I need and get involved with any part of the organisation, and at the same time everyone being so approachable accelerates my learning.

  • What advice would you give to a new Branchster?

Time moves fast at Branch – in the first few days you can find yourself being overwhelmed by the amount of things happening around you, it is okay to feel this way. You will soon realise that you have an awesome team to fallback on and you will soon find yourself doing the best work of your life here at Branch.

  • What do you look forward to at work every day?

I look forward to meeting my team every day, the enthusiasm here is contagious. The pandemic and the WFH situation changed things in the last year, but I think we still found ways to collaborate and work together and did better than anyone would expect.

Deepikaa Subramaniam – Development Manager
  • What makes you excited to stay at Branch?

My career at Branch has been awesome. Branch provides me with unique opportunities every day to solve challenging problems in the mobile ecosystem. The pace and growth to learn and challenge myself keep me excited to stay and grow with the company.

  • How are you supported in your career goals at Branch?

I receive constructive feedback through a lot of channels to keep me organized in terms of pursuing my career goals, and am given multiple opportunities to attend trainings or conferences in my area of work. Branch also runs learning sessions and has a good mentoring culture, which allows us to reach out to senior members in the organization for opinions and suggestions for growth.

  • What advice would you give to a new Branchster?

My advice to a new Branchster is to not be afraid to deep dive and learn about all the products and features provided by Branch to users in the mobile space. This will give them an idea of how interesting and complex some of the problems are, and I am pretty sure this will get them excited about work each day.

  • What do you look forward to at work every day?

I look forward to collaborating with smart people on the team and being inspired by the progress and work done each day that takes us a step towards solving some challenging problems at hand.

Bri Leviste – Solutions Consultant
  • What was your favorite part of the Branch hiring process?

Getting the job offer! The interview was a very challenging and rewarding experience. Getting the official offer felt like a huge accomplishment.

  • How did Branch stand out during your job search compared to the other companies you were talking to?

The interview process was impressively organized; both my recruiter and hiring manager were very responsive and accessible throughout it. I felt as if they were personally invested and advocated for my success! I was prepped with lots of materials to get myself up to speed for the technical presentation and was offered feedback at every stage. I had a few ex-Branchsters that could not have recommended the company more; the high positive recommendations from former employees spoke volumes about the company culture.

  • How did your team help you feel integrated at Branch while onboarding?

My team was very supportive and always made themselves available to talk through all concepts; no matter how big or small. Aside from personalized walkthroughs, weekly one-on-ones with the whole team and frequent happy hours helped us all feel connected despite being apart. I also loved the transparency and introductions to leadership across the orgs.

  • Can you describe a moment/project/situation in your first few months that made you realize you made the right decision by joining Branch?

I’ll continuously be grateful for the moments where I get to bond with my amazing ProServe team! As for a specific time, participating in my first SKO (Sales Kick-Off) left me in awe of the accomplishments of the entire GTM org and the utmost respect everyone had for each other. It was really motivating to be a part of the high energy and celebrate all of the talent we’re lucky to have. It made me even more impatient to get back into the office to experience it in person!

Aaron Lopez – Senior Software Engineer
  • What makes you excited to stay at Branch?

I am the type of person who thrives in change, and my job and the problems I tackle here are constantly changing. The mobile and ads ecosystem is still relatively new and constantly evolving. Customers trust us to be there to navigate the constant change and to provide a seamless user experience across all their brand touchpoints.

  • How are you supported in your career goals at Branch?

Branch has helped me transition roles a couple times so far. I first joined as an Integration Engineer straight out of undergrad with little coding experience. As our SaaS business grew, Branch gave me the opportunity to further improve my customer service skills as an Enterprise Solutions Engineer. Eventually I got the chance to build new products as a Software Engineer. Managers across the company have been incredibly supportive of my individual growth and make sure to help me pick work that aligns most with my goals.

  • What advice would you give to a new Branchster?

Embrace thinking like an owner. If you put the company first, the vision and day-to-day activities almost always make sense and fall into place over the long term. But don’t be afraid to challenge assumptions if things don’t make sense.

  • What do you look forward to at work every day?

My team. Despite being a decentralized remote team I really enjoy working with everyone. We are able to support and challenge each other to build amazing products. I also know that whatever challenge I am running into, I can turn to them for support.

Sunita Poludasu – Senior Software Engineer
  • What was your favorite part of the Branch hiring process?

As a start I had the flexibility to schedule the interviews when most convenient for me, starting from phone screening to onsite. Communication, feedback, and next steps were always very clear at all levels. My favorite part was having the flexibility to start my work from India the first month.

  • How did Branch stand out during your job search compared to the other companies you were talking to?

While interviewing, I got the feeling that everyone shares the same vision as I do. Branch blew me away with the respect given for my time and the time that Branch took to get to know me as a candidate with the quality of questions that were asked.

  • How did your team help you feel integrated at Branch while onboarding?

The professionalism I saw during the interview process transferred into the workspace. Everyone I have met is very talented and is a good team player. All the team members took turns to help me onboard on the various components.

  • Can you describe a moment/project/situation in your first few months that made you realize you made the right decision by joining Branch?

Working on a few first tickets that relate to TikTok and also working on the Lovecraft V4 project which has led me to explore new technologies, made me realize that I made the right decision. I see a lot of opportunities for growth, and I am always encouraged to be innovative and think big.

Amanda Grady – Sales Strategy Director
  • What makes you excited to stay at Branch?

It sounds cliche, but the people and the product. In terms of people, one of the things I love most at Branch is the level of intellectual respect. When I was an AE, my questions were never dismissed by PMs or Engineers just because I had a non-technical background. People take the time to hear you out and get at the question behind the question. Even if you aren’t a subject matter expert, the team takes feedback seriously and approaches questions assuming you have a valid point, even if they might use more technical language to express it! In terms of product, I love that we get to create real business impact with some of the best known, most innovative companies in every industry around the world. The way that these teams approach Branch to solve complex issues that bridge multiple teams with different functions means I still get to learn something new every day while developing a unique perspective on mobile strategy based on the whole of my experience.

  • How are you supported in your career goals at Branch?

In my experience, Branch hires with an eye towards potential and long-term growth. I’m one of many “non-standard” profiles we’ve hired onto the team and I think that approach gives us greater talent diversity overall. Also, my managers have consistently pushed me to build out my “toolkit” of skills from day one and have been my staunchest advocates, all while holding me accountable for defining the next step. Branch gave me a seat at the table, empowering me to take on projects I felt passionate about, tackle problems above my paygrade and validate interests outside of my core role. I’ve felt like I can take big swings without being afraid that I’ll lose people’s respect and that if I can show a clear business case for my next career step, it will be considered seriously.

  • What advice would you give to a new Branchster?

Two things – be curious and give feedback. It’s so easy to start somewhere and assume that things are done a certain way for a specific reason – I urge new people to question that paradigm here. We’ve worked hard to bring in top tier talent in every department, but you can never truly know and account for all of your blind spots. Fresh perspectives keep us sharp and thinking outside the box. Our industry changes all the time and we work at the cutting edge of the mobile world, so ask questions, give feedback relentlessly, and feel empowered to be a stakeholder from Day 1.

  • What do you look forward to at work every day?

I learn something new about tech, people, and the mobile ecosystem every single day and then immediately get to put those learnings into practice. There’s never a day when I’m running on autopilot. More importantly, I never feel like I’m going at it alone. There’s always someone excited to jump in head-first with me to brainstorm, challenge my perspective and ideate solutions.

Sam Essalat, Commercial Counsel
  • What was your favorite part of the Branch hiring process?

From beginning to end, I enjoyed the entire process. The initial screening call was very professional, efficient and gave me a great sense of what an amazing company Branch is. I learned about the company and the steps it would take to become part of such a dynamic and talented team. I truly believe that set me up for success throughout the entire hiring process. Each stage of the hiring process felt very necessary to me and I was grateful for that. There are many different types of hiring processes from company to company, but Branch’s hiring process also allowed me to interview the company to see if I felt I was the right fit. Ultimately, by the end of the process, I knew Branch was where I wanted to be and was hoping the feeling was mutual. I was elated when I learned I would be joining the Branch team and am thankful I had the chance to meet so many awesome Branchsters along the way!

  • How did Branch stand out during your job search compared to the other companies you were talking to?

I have been through many different types of interview processes over the years, but I can honestly say that Branch stood out to me because Branch cared about me as the individual interviewing. I never felt pressured, nervous or disjointed, but rather, I felt engaged from start to finish. I was also pleasantly surprised that everyone from the recruiting team to the hiring managers, all expressed their genuine excitement for the work, the people and the day to day grind. A lot of people can say how they feel, but my sense during the hiring process was that this sentiment was more than hot air. This was sincere, and I felt that. Coming up on my 2 months at Branch, I can honestly say I too share their sentiment about the work, the people and the day to day grind.

  • How did your team help you feel integrated at Branch while onboarding?

Hands down, my onboarding experience at Branch was the most comprehensive and engaging onboarding process I have ever been a part of. From getting facetime with the executives on day 1 of onboarding, to thorough training sessions, I felt especially set up to succeed. I was nervous about starting because I knew my manager was going out on maternity leave soon after I started, but if anything, Branch made sure to go out of its way to ensure I had the tools and resources I needed to get up to speed.

  • Can you describe a moment/project/situation in your first few months that made you realize you made the right decision by joining Branch?

Where do I begin? Having not even been with Branch for 2 full months, I already feel as if I have my finger on the pulse of things. Although there are several areas I have already been given the opportunity to provide input on, one sticks out in particular. My first customer negotiation call was one for the ages (just ask around)! I ended up in a very tense, difficult call with a customer, which I can admit I was not prepared for or at least expecting. However, when all was said and done, we were able to close the deal after some back and forth. What stood out to me was that the entire Branch team on that specific call and deal wholeheartedly supported me and trusted my approach in engaging with the customer. I received a lot of great feedback about what went right, areas of improvement, and also an appreciation for my contributions. This was crucial in setting the tone early for me because I knew the team had my back and they knew I had theirs. It is never easy leaving a job where you are comfortable, but I needed to move outside of my comfort level and Branch has provided me that opportunity in the best of ways.

Ravi Subramanian – Senior Engineering Manager
  • What was your favorite part of the Branch hiring process?

All of it! I especially liked the team I was interacting with, and the always-up-to-date PDFs with all the relevant details — it made it very easy to manage the stress around interviewing and to find exactly what I needed when I needed it.

  • How did Branch stand out during your job search compared to the other companies you were talking to?

When I researched Branch during my search, I felt like the company had it together. The website and the superb API documentation, the solid hiring process, the vision described to me, and the people I got to interact with all contributed to my decision.

  • How did your team help you feel integrated at Branch while onboarding?

Setting aside the awesome onboarding experience to get me kick-started, I was quite lucky to join a very capable team from Day 1. My onboarding buddy made himself available pretty much whenever I needed, and the team has been very welcoming and patiently answered all my questions the entire time.

  • Can you describe a moment/project/situation in your first few months that made you realize you made the right decision by joining Branch?

I already knew, at a high level, what the team I was joining at Branch was attempting. However, upon understanding things better after dabbling with the tech a little, I realized the sheer ingenuity and boldness of the approach and came to realize this is going to a great place and a wild ride!
